Part 1 (Interview) Arts & Entertainment

Music Preferences

Question

What kind of music do you enjoy listening to?

Model Answer

I listen to quite a wide range of music, but I'd say I enjoy contemporary pop and R&B the most. I love songs with a strong rhythm and a catchy melody that you can't get out of your head. I also have a soft spot for classical music, particularly pieces with a full orchestra, because I find them incredibly moving and perfect for when I need to concentrate on work. I usually listen to music during my commute and while I'm cooking, so it's a pretty big part of my daily life. I think music has this amazing ability to change your mood in an instant.

Stress the second syllable: kun-TEM-pruh-ree. In natural speech, the middle syllables are often compressed.
orchestra /ˈɔːkɪstrə/
Three syllables: OR-kis-truh. The 'ch' makes a 'k' sound, not a 'ch' sound. Stress the first syllable.
